Metsä Group Appoints Katariina Kemppainen as SVP, Group R&D

Katariina Kemppainen

Nov. 29, 2022 - Metsä Group announced that Katariina Kemppainen has been appointed SVP, Group R&D, effective January 1, 2023. Kemppainen currently serves as VP, Group R&D, a position she has held since June of 2021 when Metsä Group created the Group R&D function.

Kemppainen has worked within the Metsä Group since April of 2016. Prior to that, she was a research scientist at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland for over 6 years.

Kemppainen will continue to report to the CEO of Metsä Group's innovation company Metsä Spring, Niklas von Weymarn.
