March 19, 2024 - Valmet announced that it will supply Crown Paper Mill with an Advantage DCT 200 tissue line, including an extensive automation package, flow control valves and Industrial Internet solutions, to its mill in Saudi Arabia.
The value of the order will not be disclosed.
This is the second tissue line Valmet has delivered to Crown Paper Mill — the first machine was installed in Abu Dhabi.
The new tissue machine will be the first installed at Crown's site in Dammam area in Saudi Arabia.

The new tissue machine will have a design speed of 2,200 m/min and a width of 5.6 meters. The production line is optimized to save energy and deliver excellent paper properties. The line will have an annual production capacity of 70,000 tons.
Valmet's scope of supply comprises a complete tissue production line, detailed mill engineering, full stock preparation equipment, as well as automation systems. In addition, the delivery also includes Valmet's flow control and Valmet Performance Center services.
Start-up of the new machine is scheduled for the second half of 2025.
