Aug. 8, 2024 - Port Hawkesbury Paper announced the hiring of Eric Huard as the Director of Specialty Sales.
Huard received his bachelor's in chemical engineering from Ecole Polytechnique (University of Montreal). He started his career with a leading paper machine clothing company, later acquired by Voith, as a technical support representative before moving into sales. His responsibilities included accounts in Eastern Canada and the Canadian Maritimes. In his role with Voith, Huard was involved with the start-up of PM 2 at the Port Hawkesbury mill.
In 2005, Eric joined MeadWestvaco in Chillicothe, Ohio, and was responsible for carbonless sales in Eastern Canada. The Chillicothe mill changed ownerships (NewPage, Glatfelter, and now Pixelle Specialty Solutions), and Eric's responsibilities grew within the organization to sell book and specially engineered product grades.
"Throughout his career, Eric has developed solid business relationships with end-users in the markets Port Hawkesbury currently participates in," states John Picklesimer, President of Sales for Port Hawkesbury Paper. "We look forward to Eric leading our efforts in many of these markets, developing new areas of opportunity, and collaborating with our current sales team on targeted accounts."
