Veritiv Agrees to Sell Its Rigid Containers Business to TricorBraun

Dec. 10, 2024 - Veritiv has signed a definitive purchase agreement to sell Veritiv Containers, the company's rigid packaging business (formerly All American Containers) to TricorBraun.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Veritiv Containers is a national distributor of both custom and stock rigid packaging solutions for the food and beverage, wine and spirits, personal care, nutraceutical, and industrial sectors. The business operates from facilities across North America.

"We made the decision to sell Veritiv's Containers business so that we can further focus on building our industry-leading capabilities in our core specialty packaging business," said Sal Abbate, Veritiv's Chief Executive Officer. I am confident they will thrive with this opportunity to be aligned with a company with such a significant focus on rigid packaging."

According to TricorBraun, Veritiv Containers' leadership team will remain with TricorBraun and all dedicated team members will be offered positions with the company.

Effective with the closing of the transaction, Veritiv Containers will operate as TricorBraun.

The sale is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2025.
