Feb. 7, 2025 - Cardinal Tissue LLC announced the acquisition of Softex Paper's US assets, located in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and Palatka, Florida.
Both companies convert parent rolls of tissue paper into tissue products such as toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, and facial tissue.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Headquartered in Curacao, Softex Paper has offices in Aruba, Puerto Rico, the United States and the Dominican Republic. The company offers private label tissue manufacturing, along with a complete line of its own brands.
According to Cardinal Tissue, the acquisition is the result of a collaborative partnership between Cardinal Tissue's CEO and owner, Vince Reese, and Softex Paper's CEO and owner, Marcel Lieuw, who have worked closely together for the past two years.

Located in Spindale, North Carolina, Cardinal Tissue is a specialized contract tissue manufacturer that provides tissue suppliers with solutions for contract converting and supply chain optimization.
